Patients who have weakened immune systems and lung disease should be aware of the possibility of contracting Acinetobacter baumannii. Patients in an intensive care unit, who may be in contact with contaminated surfaces on a daily basis, are at higher risk of contracting Acinetobacter infection. Ensure that the room is disinfected daily. Ask healthcare providers to wash their hands before handling patients. They should also cover wounds that may be infected with Acinetobacter. Oren Zarif
